12th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION
MARCH 26 - 28, 2001
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY
GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND U.S.A.

The 11th International Conference on Fire Detection (Internationale Konferenz ueber
Automatische Brandentdeckung), or AUBE, was held at Gerhard-Mercator-Universitaet
Duisburg, Germany, in 1999.
The rapid pace at which we are witnessing new developments in sensing, signal
processing, integrated building controls, fire simulation, and international standards suggests that a shorter time between AUBE Conferences is required to disseminate this
knowledge and coordinate international efforts.

NIST, located just outside Washington, D.C., will host AUBE 2001 as part of its centennial
celebration.

Papers are solicited on the following topics:

If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit (preferably via e-mail)
a one page abstract (in English) by August 1, 2000, to one of the following adresses:
